This is a flyer sent out by Janet Mulroy who chairs this committee:
"I am writing to invite you all to participate in the AACN Program Committee for the local chapter. I agreed to facilitate the chapter this year and I would like to include representatives from all the different medical centers in our area. Please consider giving a little of yourself to the development of your profession." Some of the good reasons to volunteer your time to this committee are:Some of the things you may be doing are: planning meetings once a month, folding flyers, posting flyers at work, putting handouts together, talking with vendors, introducing speakers, setting up tables and/or decorations, working registration tables, etc. We will take anything you are willing to give. Please consider giving 2 - 4 hours a month to a worthy cause. email JfMulroy@aacn-gmac.org
- Reduced tuition to all local programs. It's almost free! Committee members pay only $15.00 to cover the cost of food at seminars. Quarterly programs are free to all.
- Fun and fellowship with nurses from all over the Memphis area. You will work side by side and share experiences with nurses from many different backgrounds.
- A sense of accomplishment. You will receive great satisfaction from assisting with the planning and implementation of educational programs to benefit our nurses and ultimately our patients.
- It looks good on your resume'. Community service and active membership in a professional organization can boost your career and your annual performance appraisals.
- You make the decisions. You get to help choose the "theme" and topics presented at quarterly programs and annual seminars.
